1 Converting from the preliminary set of entities to the set in version 1.0 (ISO conformant entities)

In the preliminary version of the handbook, not all entities conformed to the ISO standard (HTML 4.0). For example, the recommended entity for "á" (LATIN SMALL LETTER A WITH ACUTE) was "&aac;" rather than "á". In version 1.0 of the handbook all entities have been made ISO conformant. For those who have encoded according to the preliminary version of the handbook, we offer a conversion table from the preliminary set to the new ISO conformant set. This list is supposed to be complete.
